The Process

The TCL Community selection process is designed to identify hardworking individuals with high ambition and potential. Existing community members nominate potential members, and these nominations are then reviewed and voted on by an independent committee based on the TCL Community selection criteria.

The committee looks at four areas

The Institution, GPA, Academic Honours, Academic Achievements

The Organization, Position, Professional Achievements, Board Membership

Philanthropy, Social Impact, Sport Activities, Community Leadership Roles, and Other activities that Demonstrate a Person’s Drive and Commitments

Emerging/Established Talent in the Fields of Arts, Design, Sports, Music, Theatre, Dance, & Other Creative Industries

The Institution, GPA, Academic Honours, Academic Achievements

The Organization, Position, Professional Achievements, Board Membership

Philanthropy, Social Impact, Sport Activities, Community Leadership Roles, and Other activities that Demonstrate a Person’s Drive and Commitments

Emerging/Established Talent in the Fields of Arts, Design, Sports, Music, Theatre, Dance, & Other Creative Industries

This translates into the following general guidelines:

For a successful application, the applicant should be:

 

  • - Exceptional in two out of the four areas, OR

  • - Exceptional in one and Great in the other three areas

In some cases, the rules have exceptions, such as for Ph.D. or M.Phil candidates/holders.
